Ole’ Orleans Joins ESSENCE Food and Wine Festival 2022

New Orleans Native & Ole’ Orleans Owner, Kim Lewis will be headlining the first-ever ESSENCE Food and Wine Festival -- Discussing how black women dominate the Spirits industry.



(New Orleans - June 30, 2022) - Award-winning Winery Ole’ Orleans Wines CEO Kim Lewis will be at ESSENCE Festival® as it returns for the first time in two years. As the first black-owned winery in New Orleans and the only one in the city, Kim Lewis is proud to be featured at the event.


ESSENCE Festival® of Culture presents the ESSENCE Eats Food and Wine Festival at The Sugar Mill and Mississippi River Heritage Park, happening June 30 - July 3, 2022, for the first time in its history. Attendees can enjoy NOLA in a bottle through the rich flavors of creole and cajun thanks to Kim’s diverse assortment of wines. ESSENCE Eats Food and Wine Festival will have, King of Carnival and Vieux Carré, of the Ole’ Orleans collection available for purchase at the bar.

Kim Lewis’ Ole’ Orleans Wines, established in 2018, has become one of the fastest-growing Black woman-owned wineries in the south. In the vast collection of Ole’ Orleans wines, 12 have been featured on the shelves of major retailers such as Trader Joe's and Costco Wholesale. Kim embraces everything that is “Naturally Nawlins” and continues to show her love for the city, its people, and its rich history through Ole’ Orleans.

At the heart of "Ole Orleans Wines: A Tribute To Historic New Orleans" is its founder Kim Lewis. Ole Orleans wines would not be the same if it weren't for the creativity and passion Kim brings to the table! Ole Orleans was brought to life in 2018 based on their love of New Orleans and Kim’s family history. Each bottle is dedicated to a part of New Orleans history, making every bottle a collector's item.


​Born and raised in New Orleans, Kim is the mother of three beautiful and amazing children. Kim and her children enjoy spending time with their dogs, horses, and sunny beaches.
